Abraham Lincoln hero journey

(The birth)He was born febuary 12th 1809 in a log cabin to Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks. He mostly thought himself how to write and read and cipher. (call to adventure) His call to adeventure originated when he was in the Blackhawk war where he was a captian and he nkew he was destined to be a leader.(meeting the goddess) He goddess was his wife Mary Todd Lincoln who always supported him and raised their 4 children.(Crossing the Threshold) He crossed it when he ran for senate he lost twice before was elected senator of Illinois.(belly of thewhale) Once he was elected there was no turning back and later he got the Rebublican nomination for president.(Hero partner) His partner once he was president was Hannibel Hamlin his vice president.(tests/ ordeals) He faced many trials from being in the army and trying to bring the confederate states back to the union.(ultamite boon) His ultimate boone is his general Ulysses Grant who led the union soldiers.(death of hero) the death of Abe is when the southern states break away from the union to form their own country(journey to the underworld) One of the lower point is the civil war happens and people are fighting each other.(master of 2 worlds) He becomes the master of 2 worlds when he dies but his legacy lives on which pretty much was no slavery.(freedom to live) He gave the slaves the freedom to live and be normal people.

Luke and doug compare and contrast

Hero's that go on big Journeys never know exactly what they are getting into.

Like Luke Skywalker and Doug both didn't really know what they were getting into when they went on their journeys. Doug thought we was simply going to get some food with is longtime friend Quinn, and Luke didn't know he would be saving a princess and blowing up the death star. For example "We miss the turn off for Planet Hollywood, from my window I can see its neon globe orbiting past us." Once this happens Doug really knows somethings up and has no idea what will happen next. In Luke's case once he sees that Alderaan has been destroyed while is in the Millennium  Falcon with Han solo, Chewie and everyone else he also has no idea what he will do next. This is one event that sometimes happens to a hero they never know what they are getting into.
